So it all started with me my whining to a colleague at work John about the fact that I haven't played guitar in a long time. Basically after my last band drifted apart in 1995, I started focusing my efforts on my recording studio. The studio was completed in 2001, and in January 2002 "I quite my day job" as they say, and I bought and sold guitars and other gear, and worked in my studio recording other people.
I guess this was the start of me not playing myself. Other than to tune a guitar, or maybe help someone find a note, I essentially did not play anymore. I didn't think about it, it wasn't a conscious choice, I just didn't. Heck I didn't even realize it. After all, I was surrounded at the time by over 100 guitars, several keyboards, drums etc... I probably had a guitar in my hand several times a day. But it was to take a picture of, tune, move, and occasionally test amp/mic combination's for recording someone else that was going to play it or their own.
So this is the way it was from 2002 through 2006.
