Hello everyone!
I'm really new to this, so please bear with me. I'm still new to guitar playing also. I've been learning for over two years.
I'm a huge fan of the Lovin' Spoonful. I think that Zal Yanovsky was a vastly underrated guitar player, and I long to have a 1963 Guild Thunderbird (as well as some Ovations)! I have met John Sebastian -- he is a really cool guy and his CD with David Grisman called "Satisfied" is well worth a listen.
I am also an admirer of Jim Croce and Maury Muhliesen. Jim was a great rhythm player and I am constantly amazed at Maury's lead playing.
There are quite a few "J" people that have made music that I love: John Denver, James Taylor, James Burton and Jackson Browne. II have just recently discovered that I like some blues players such as John Hammond Jr., Elmore James and Josh White.
haven't heard much of Pete Huttlinger and Brent Mason's playing, but what I have heard I have liked.
I have done a few open mike nights at Emack and Bolios, my favorite place for ice cream! I enjoy going to concerts, especially if they are free!

Did you get to the gathering this year up north last weekend?
Anita
That Tak was my EAN10C and it was/is a fantastic guitar. I'm sorry I sold it but it went to someone in my office so I get occasional visitation rights. I've even considered buying another and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
have a nice day
