OK, two songs up. Older stuff, but the last finished work with vocals.
The voice is an ex-girlfriend, she wrote the words too. I did the rest including arranging vocal harmonies and such.
Stuff used...
Sonor on a PC for the DAW
DR-5 for midi input, and also used it's internal sound banks for all drum kits and bass
Some percussion (like shakers on Soul Searchin) was done using Acid loops
Some model or other of a Casio keyboard's sound for the keys (but triggered with DR5)
Various guitars and amps and a crappy Sony mic.

That's my friend Toby's guitar. He works for City U here in Bellevue, but also is a spokesperson for FIDELCO. He was the 100th client, and has been doing PR stuff for them for the past couple years.
Story goes that when he was "crowned" as the 1000th (I think it was 1000) client, he was given the record with Bill, Steve, and Charlie, a hard cover Ovation book, and since he was a musician (plays bass mostly) they also said he could have a guitar of his choosing. He felt his way to the wall, grabbed the first one down and said, I'll take this one. It was a Celebrity... hey he's blind. You'd a thunk they could have steered him towards a USA model.
Anyway, when dealing with the Kaman family, he usually deals with Robbie, but he had a rare chance a year or so ago to spend some time with Charlie, played guitar with him for a few, then asked him to sign his guitar.
The neck's a bit bowed. been meaning to fix it for him.

So are you saying the ex did all the vocals or did you do some of them (harmonies?)
Or at least convert the old cassette recordings......
Very cool story about the guitar. Always great to see the good that comes from the Fidelco foundation. A very nice legacy.
