Live From Daryl's House 1 Reply

It's official, except for special exceptions (like Dexter) the best TV is on the web.  If you haven't discovered Live From Daryl's House (yes, incorrect use of punctuation and all) you are in for a t…

What's the difference? 2 Replies

I'm still a little confused over here. What's the difference between "comments" like we've been doing, and "discussion" like I'm starting now? They are both visible to anyone clicking on this group.…

Don't you dare bring any walleye or pike up here. They take over and eat all the trout. I think there are some in some of the reservoirs, but I haven't fished for years. I need somebody like Jeff W. to come up and show me how.
Fletcher, the logging is tough up here, too, and I imagine it will be for a long time, since home building has stalled.

Ten minutes and I'm still waiting for that photo to finish loading!

Rednecks and cowboys and trout and bass, huh...
Sounds like my kind of place.

Just heard today that the logging firm I've been working for won't be starting back up when the weather clears. Might be time to start thinking about a move...

Beautiful Mark! Trout and bass for sure. Do you have any walleye? How about pike?

Looks like I scared everyone off, so here's a picture of Payette Lake in October. It's not right out the back door, but it's from our beach just a little ways down the road.

Greg, go up to the settings box on the upper right corner and disable the email notifications. Hey, I figured out how to do that and to post a picture in one day. Pat myself on the back.
"Those damn Californians" is just a popular curse here. Something to do when we're stuck in the snow and all the Californians have moved back south for the winter. I have yet to visit my daughter down there, so how about an OFC gig in Mendocino? Talk about remote, though.

,, winky face
As is Max & Co.

Mark, I'm not so sure of. But having a lawyer can be damned handy......and there is that cabin.....hmmmmm

When I help my buddy (yes, I have a friend in real space too) build his next plane I was thinking of talking him into buzzing the strip down Idaho way.

Fletcher, as the only Idahoan who ever frequents these parts, I can assure you that we've done everything to distance ourselves from California. Californians (mostly from Southern California) were moving up here in droves and the rest just wanted our water.
It's not so great here. Bunch of rednecks, cowboys. Oh, I forgot. Your governer used to spend all his time here. My daughter moved to Northern California.

"We need to nudge that southern border in California just a bit to the southeast..."

I agree! As they say,"The peoples of Northern California share a common culture with other Cascadians and find themselves oppressed by the occupational SoCalist government which wants nothing more than to replace redwoods with hollywoods."

Do you remember a few years back when northern CA wanted to split from CA mostly due to the diversion of water? That proposed border definitely put you in Northern CA! Welcome to Cascadia!

Maybe it should be extended down to Mission Peak so that the goats can act as lookouts.
